I’m going to be a Cast Member!!

After keeping this rather hush-hush since I applied in July, I have some very exciting news – I’ve been accepted onto the…

Disney Cultural Exchange Program 2016!

I will officially begin my program on the 20th of June, but I will most likely fly out on the 19th. My role as a Walt Disney World Cast Member will be as a lifeguard! Whilst I am over there, I am also hoping to pick up the occasional PAC (parade audience control)! I am over the moon with the role that I have been given, but I would have honestly been happy with any of the roles offered by Disney. Finding out I had been placed in one of my high-interest roles was the best Christmas I could have wished for!

My reaction to finding out I had been accepted!

For those of you who don’t know, the Disney Cultural Exchange Program allows university students to spend their summer working in Walt Disney World. I first found out about the program when I was 16, and ever since then I have been determined to take part. It felt like a dream come true when I found out that I had been accepted – the wait between the interview stages was agonizing.

Whilst I was applying I found all the blogs and vlogs incredibly useful. I am intending on keeping regular posts on the process leading up to commencing the program, as well as whilst I am in America. I am planning to write an overview of the application process and give some more details about my role in particular. It was difficult to find many in depth Disney blogs about the lifeguarding role in particular so hopefully mine will of be some help!

In the meantime if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask!
